Located in the tranquil surrounds of Iffley Village, Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel, inspired by Oxford style vintage fashion has reopened following an extensive redesign. Formerly the birthplace of explorer, treasure hunter and polar medallist Francis Howard Bickerton, the hotel occupies three buildings, including two 19th Century manor houses. Inspired by it’s location, all 77 bedrooms display interiors inspired by the classic Oxford brogue and Oxford shirt. Guest’s love the hotel’s quiet location, with the centre of Oxford just a 10 minute drive away.
